HSE Training Specialist

We are now looking for a HSE Training Specialist with a moved workweek (working from Tuesday-Saturday during office hours) to help us further building the future of food. In this role of HSE specialist you will be focusing on reducing accidents, fostering a safety culture, managing risks, delivering training and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve our mission of zero harm/accidents.

Your responsibilities:

To help us to achieve our mission of zero harm/accidents, your responsibilities include the following:

Your responsibilities during the week (Tuesday-Friday):

• You will be coaching employees and team leaders in conducting safety walk & talks.
• You collaborate together with the HSE assistant in planning medical investigations, managing PPE’s, approving invoices, taking minutes in meetings,…).
• You collaborate with the HSE team on:
• Developing training courses,
• Handling commissioning and VIKs for new equipment,
• Conducting Safety checks & tours,
• Support during the safety day and weekly activities,
• Ensure all notifications (weekend and offices) are resolved in a timely manner.
• Your responsibilities during the weekend (Saturday):

You will help to limit the number of accidents to a maximum objective by:

• You will be conducting timely Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and issue safety alerts.
• You help to create a safety culture of accountability by conducting safety walk and talks, supporting our safety heroes and by performing weekly safety rounds with follow-up actions.
• You conduct evacuation drills to ensure regulatory compliance.
• You participate in the onboarding of new employees by provide internal trainings for BA4/5, first intervention team, mobile equipment, LOTOTO,…

You would be a great fit if your background and experience would look similar to this:

• Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of safety risks (incl behavioral) or openness to acquiring this knowledge.A minimum of “ years' experience in HSE or as a teamleader within an organization with high safety standards. Strong risk awareness, the ability to influence leaders to embrace their role in safety, and advanced communication skills (such as providing feedback) are essential for coaching sessions. You are a teamplayer with a positive and energetic can-do attitude, capability for building partnerships, and at the same time ability to work independently
• You enjoy working in fast moving area and is able to handle new directions and working with several tasks simultaneously
• The flexibility to work an alternative workweek (working from Tuesday-Saturday, during office hours)
• A good Knowledge of Dutch and English, French is a bonus
